\u2018Medical Words\/Medical Worlds\u2019 is a workshop to be held in Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge on 5-6 June 2025, co-hosted by the projects LEIGHEAS: Language, Education and Medical Learning in the Premodern Gaelic World<\/a> (Maynooth University) and eDIL: A Dictionary of the Irish Language<\/a> (University of Cambridge and Queen\u2019s University Belfast). Speakers will explore medieval medical lexicography and translation in a range of linguistic traditions, including Irish, Welsh, German, French and English. The workshop will include a visit to the \u2018Curious Cures\u2019 exhibition at the Cambridge University Library and the launch of the volume Medicine in the Medieval North Atlantic World. Vernacular Texts and Traditions<\/a><\/em>, ed. by Deborah Hayden and Sarah Baccianti (Brepols, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
